What Is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a rejuvenation and revitalization treatment in which specially formulated cocktails containing vitamins, minerals, amino acids, hyaluronic acid, and growth factors are injected into the skin or scalp using very fine needles. Originally developed in France in the 1950s, this technique is now widely used for both skin and hair treatments.
Skin Mesotherapy
Skin mesotherapy can be applied to areas such as the face, neck, décolletage, and hands to address concerns including:
- Skin dryness and dullness
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Skin laxity and loss of elasticity
- Sunspots and pigmentation irregularities
- Care and improvement of acne-prone skin
Hair Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy applied to the scalp nourishes hair follicles, helps slow down hair loss, and supports healthier hair growth. It can be particularly effective for androgenetic alopecia and stress-related hair loss.
Treatment Process
- A topical anesthetic cream is applied depending on the treatment area
- Specialized mesotherapy cocktails are delivered through micro-injections (approximately 15–30 minutes)
- Interval between sessions: 1–2 weeks
- Recommended treatment course: 4–8 sessions
- Maintenance sessions: Every 3–6 months
Side Effects and Recovery
Mild redness and small bruises may occur after the procedure; these typically resolve within 24–48 hours. Patients can usually return to their normal daily activities immediately after treatment.
