What Is Botox?
Botox (Botulinum Toxin Type A) is an FDA-approved medical treatment that temporarily reduces muscle activity to soften dynamic facial wrinkles. Injected in small doses into precise areas, this neurotoxin is one of the most widely used non-surgical facial rejuvenation treatments worldwide.
Which Areas Can Be Treated?
- Forehead lines and horizontal wrinkles
- Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
- Crow’s feet around the eyes
- Upper lip wrinkles (smoker’s lines)
- Neck bands (Nefertiti Lift)
- Jaw muscles for teeth grinding and clenching (bruxism)
- Excessive sweating treatment (hyperhidrosis)
How Is the Procedure Performed?
Botox is injected into targeted muscle groups within minutes using very fine needles. A topical anesthetic cream may be applied before the procedure; however, most patients experience little to no discomfort during the injections. The entire treatment usually takes approximately 15–30 minutes.
When Do Results Appear?
The first effects usually begin to appear within 3–5 days, with the full results developing after approximately 10–14 days. The duration of the effects varies from person to person but typically lasts around 4–6 months. With regular maintenance treatments, the duration of the results may be prolonged.
Safety and Side Effects
When performed by an experienced medical professional, Botox is considered a safe procedure. Apart from temporary redness and mild bruising at the injection site, significant side effects are uncommon.
At our clinic, only original products stored and maintained under strict cold-chain conditions are used.
